I often have said that Kansas is facing difficult issues but this may be the most unforeseen. Our state is in the midst of a significant economic downturn as a result of the global pandemic. This pandemic has caused unemployment numbers never seen before. I can't make the pandemic go away but I am committed to focusing on what matters most to hard-working families and seniors. I will collaborate with legislators from both sides of the aisle to work towards new solutions. Kansas should be a state where everyone feels accepted for who they are, where each Kansan has access to affordable health care and a quality public education system. I will continue to work to be a part of a legislature that solves problems instead of creating them. I am a mom of two daughters, a grandmother to five grandchildren, a widow, a retired preschool teacher, and an advocate for the 6th district. I hope you will join our campaign. We are all better together. |

Economic Stability and Growth Pat knows that our state is facing a significant economic downturn as a result of the global pandemic. She is committed to protecting our investment in critical services and supporting job creation and economic development. Kansas needs common-sense problem solvers who will remain focused on moving Kansas forward.
Quality Public Education Our children, the future of our state, deserve excellent public schools. Pat will continue to fight for full funding so that our children receive the knowledge and tools necessary to become active, productive citizens, of the 21st century. |

Early Learning Development & Access A child’s brain grows the fastest in the first 5 years of life. Pat, a mother, grandmother, and early learning educator, supports families by pushing for smart policy reforms that focus on early learning and child development. Child care assistance is an important investment to help more parents succeed in the workplace and Pat continues to fight for this to be accessible to all families in her district. |

Healthcare Affordability & Access All Kansans should have access to affordable, quality healthcare whether through private health insurance or state and federal programs. Pat will not give up on Medicaid Expansion, which will provide hundreds of thousands of Kansans with affordable healthcare.
Eisenhower Legacy Transportation Program – IKE Kansas has a new 10-year comprehensive transportation plan. Maintaining and improving our transportation system is an economic driver for all parts of our state. It creates good-paying jobs, provides safe travel on our roads and bridges, and makes sound investments in communities across the state. Pat wants to ensure that transportation funding is not diverted to other parts of the government. |

Protect the Environment For 159 years Kansans have relied upon the land for their livelihoods and ways of life. Pat believes we must protect our natural resources from the imminent threat of climate change for our future generations.
Equality Pat respects the rights of all Kansans. Each Kansan should have the opportunity to reach their full potential no matter their race or creed. Pat will work to make sure legislation supports these rights. |
